Katie's bio is below:

Katie Jamieson is a Senior Program Manager within World Wide Public Sector at Amazon Web Services. Ms. Jamieson is a PMI certified project manager with over ten years of program management experience in the defence and national security industry.

In her role at AWS, Ms. Jamieson develops successful engagement and cooperation across the internal and external networks within her industry. Successful community engagement and cooperation requires juggling competing requests and requirements from customers, internal stakeholders , and company leaders responsible for enhancing business strategy and success. 

In line with her work at AWS, Ms. Jamieson is pursuing a PhD in Planning, Governance, and Globalization at Virginia Tech, focusing on the geo-politics, psychological and cultural phenomenon that impact the decision making process of country leaders. Katie is combing her academic research and professional experience in the US National Security and Defense industries to reshape the international customer engagement strategy.

By identifying how differences in cultural, historical, and individual human experiences impact leaders’ decision making, Katie is changing the way her team engages with their customers through a more ‘human centric’ approach.
