Theodore J. (T.J.) Ferrell
Chief Engineer for Quality and Operational Performance (Q&OP)
Boeing Company Research and Technology
Theodore J. (T.J.) Ferrell is currently the Chief Engineer for Quality and Operational Performance (Q&OP) within Boeing Research and Technology. His first position at Boeing was as System Engineer in an organization responsible for conducting Studies and Analysis. In this organization, T.J. worked with a cross functional team to set up the Warfare Analysis Center Lab within Strategic Development and Analysis (SDA). The team worked in this environment to use large High Performance Computing (HPC) systems to run constructive simulation in support of System Analysis.
Prior to coming to Boeing T.J. was an officer in the United States Marine Corps where he served as a pilot and flew helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. T.J. holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis MD. T.J. has earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Missouri-Rolla in System Engineering. T.J. has been certified as a Project Manager by the Project Management Institute (PMI). T.J. is a Graduate of EO&T Leadership Excellence Acceleration Program (LEAP), Class of 2014. T.J. is a graduate of the Marine Corps Command & Staff College and the School of Amphibious Warfare. He completed Fundamentals of Acquisition Course at Defense Acquisition University, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
He completed Architecture and Systems Engineering Professional Certificate Program, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Community Service and giving back is very important to T.J.. He has supported several Non-Profit organizations. He served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Eastside Domestic Violence program. He served as a member of the Finance Subcommittee for Treehouse, a non-profit organization to help foster kids. He is currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors for Eileen and Callie’s Place. A nonprofit organization with the mission of help young women as they age out of the foster care system. His family were also a puppy raiser family for the Guide Dog for the Blind organization. T.J. has been a Boeing Mentor for the FIRST Robotics Program. In the way of hobbies, T.J. is a certified rescue SCUBA diver and has a commercial pilot’s license. T.J. and his family are very involved in their Church.
